At Whyte House Monograms, our journey began in the heart of Chevy Chase, Maryland, where our founder, Debbie McCarthy Whyte, turned her passion for upscale personalization into a thriving local business. What started in 1996 as a way to keep her children's sports gear from disappearing evolved into today’s beloved boutique that specializes in turning everyday items into something unique and special.
From Basement to Boutique
After years of monogramming in her Kenwood neighborhood basement, Debbie took a leap of faith in May 2017 and seized an opportunity to showcase her craft with her own storefront on Wisconsin Avenue’s prestigious retail corridor, The Collection at Chevy Chase. After years of overwhelming support from our customers, Whyte House Monograms is proud to be a staple of the Chevy Chase and broader Washington, DC community.
Continuing the Tradition
In October 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, our fearless leader and founder, Debbie McCarthy Whyte, tragically passed away, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, determination, and community spirit. Today, her daughter Morgan Whyte Ware proudly carries on her mother's vision, ensuring Whyte House Monograms continues to thrive as a beacon of personalized craftsmanship in Washington, DC.
